Join us this spring as we offer Old Testament Survey II! We will continue to go through the Old Testament and study Job-Malachi with the Redeemer Institute. If you did not take Old Testament Survey I, there is still room for you!
Dr. Danny Kirkpatrick will teach this 8-week course, and students will be able to:
- Evaluate claims concerning these books’ dating, authorship, and composition in light of the doctrine of inerrancy and through sound historical and literary inquiry
- Explain the message and structure of these books in historical, literary, and theological context
- Employ sound theological analysis to situate these books within the broader story of Scripture in light of inspiration, progressive revelation, and the supremacy of Christ
- Equip believers to read these books devotionally and apply their contents in life and ministry
The Redeemer Institute is a partnership between Redeemer Church and Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (MBTS). It is designed to offer accredited and unaccredited courses in theology, ministry, leadership, and more.
The Redeemer Institute equips participants to deepen their biblical knowledge and discipleship by providing a unique opportunity for those eager to expand their understanding of the Bible in transformative ways.
If you sign up before March 1st, accredited courses are available for three credit hours each for $100 per class, and non-accredited courses will be $50 per class. This means you can receive credit at any accepting university or seminary at the accredited level or without the pressure of assignments at the non-accredited level. After March 1st, accredited courses will be $150, and non-accredited courses will be $75.
Childcare will be provided by request and is limited.
Class will be from 6:00-8:30pm every Monday night from March 24th - May 19th at the church in Equipping Space 3.
Through intentional training, the Redeemer Institute aims to cultivate a deeper desire to know God and confidence in His Word. Reach out to emma@redeemerlubbock.org for more information, or visit redeemerlubbock.org/institute.
Join us for an enriching experience as we pursue a deeper knowledge of God and His word together!
